STAY-CATION: 5 fun things to do in London this summer

Not going away? Holiday fomo? Need’nt worry, we have a list of 5 fun things to do if you’re stay-cating in the city this summer.

Rooftop Film Club
With venues in Shoreditch, Stratford, Peckham and Kensington, the film club boasts wireless headphones, comfy deckchairs, amazing views of the city and nothing but classic movies. Open weekends from 12pm and Tues-Friday from 5pm, includes happy hours, tacos and a “bottomless weekend brunch”. Yep, The Rooftop Film Club is definitely a place to be this summer.

Notting Hill carnival
West London’s claim to fame,  the infamous Notting Hill Carnival. Get into the spirit on the bank holiday weekend with London’s biggest annual street party. Be expected to spot some familiar faces with Rihanna, Cara Delevigne and Kate Moss all in attendance over the years. All you need is a can of red stripe, some good spirit and a good mood for dancing.

City fruit picking
Make your way to Cockfosters (Zone 5) and find Parkside Farm. With over 20 fruit and vegetables to pick from raspberries to courgettes. Needn’t worry about the crouching and bending, the option is there for table top strawberry picking.

Hit the slopes
Jealous of your friends on the slopes in Austria? Head to Chel-Ski, a 10 minute walk from Fulham Broadway. No need for special ski kit or equipment, a pair of jeans and sweater will do fine. Whether you’re pro or beginner, there are number of instructors to guide you through the day.

Sky Garden Yoga
155 metres up, the Sky Garden is Europe’s highest public garden. It has two restaurants and two bars. Now if going to dinner here wasn’t instagram worthy enough. The Sky Garden is now hosting sunrise yoga, set among the luscious greenery and jaw dropping city views. Bring your mat along for a 1 hour session which is  followed by a delicious and healthy breakfast.
