We are absolutely delighted to announce that our Skin Deep garden at RHS Chelsea Flower Show 2018, has been awarded the Silver-Gilt Medal from the Space to Grow category.
Behind our Harley Street Skin Care brand, lies the experience of Dr. Aamer Khan and his partner Lesley Reynolds Khan. They founded the Harley Street Skin Clinic – one of the most respected private practices, renowned worldwide and celebrity adored. Together we teamed up with Gold-Medal winning garden designer Robert Barker.
The concept of our Skin Deep garden is to pay tribute to the diversity of skin. Using nearly 200 concrete blocks, each one was chosen to highlight a different condition that could affect any one of us at any age. The biggest organ in our body, skin is part of our unique brand. It signals everything from our genetic heritage, health and age.
Skin therefore should be celebrated and taken care of in the best way possible. We believe in embracing your age and being confident in who you are, both on the inside and out. This is why our Skin Deep garden consists of plants and blocks of varying textures, to emphasise that we shouldn’t feel weakened by our appearance, but rather strong and aware of how stress, joys and worries, all form the makeup of our exterior.
A host of celebrity friends joined us at the Chelsea Flower Show to help show their support. Loose Women presenters Andrea McLean and Saira Khan, model and presenter Nancy Sorrell, Beverley Knight and ex Arsenal and England defender Sol Campbell, to name a few.
We hope that Skin Deep has made you think deeply about your complexion and the role that it plays as we go through each phase of our lives. Our skincare aim is to focus on protection, nourishment and restoration. Summer is just around the corner which means the skin’s greatest threat is looming. Now is the time to go through skincare essentials for summer and think about SPF products and UV defence.
